This volume is a special issue devoted to the intersection of aspect‑oriented software development (AOSD) and model‑driven engineering (MDE). It collects research papers that explore how aspects and crosscutting concerns can be modularized, represented, woven, and integrated throughout the software development lifecycle — from models to code. Topics include model weaving, modularization of concerns at the model level, aspect-oriented model-driven product lines, language-independent model modularization, constraint-based model weaving, unified model composition approaches, and the use of UML and graph-transformation techniques to support aspect-oriented modeling.
