This research paper proposes an improved routing method for mobile ad-hoc wireless networks. The study focuses on reducing the excessive number of control packets generated during the route discovery process in the AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) routing protocol. High node mobility in ad-hoc networks often increases Route Request (RREQ) and Route Reply (RREP) messages, which can reduce packet reception rates and increase overall network energy consumption. The author introduces a method that adaptively controls control packet generation using an AIAD (Additive Increase Additive Decrease) mechanism based on the current network conditions. The proposed method is evaluated against conventional AODV and a timestamp-based method using performance metrics such as node mobility, node velocity, and node density.
